Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking Class 1 Drivers in Preston to operate a Class 1 vehicle on tramping work for a recycling-focused client. Role is temporary with potential to perm after 8 weeks, with guaranteed night out earnings and weekly pay.

12 months Class 1 experience, a valid UK DCPC and Digi-tacho are essential. Visa or relocation support is not provided, and a valid licence with up to 6 points may be considered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 driving licence and have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Digi-tacho card and UK DCPC required.
• No DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements on licence; up to 6 points considered.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 1 vehicle.
• Transport scrap and recycled materials nationwide.
• Collect and deliver scrap waste.

Job Title: Class 1 Driver -Tramper

Location: Preston

Pay Rate: £18.35 to £21.15 p/h

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 4/5 nights out per week (£25 a night)

Role: Temp to Perm (after 8 weeks)

Experience: 12 months Class 1 essential

About you

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with scrap waste would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
