Job summary

Driver Hire Winchester is recruiting Class 1 Drivers to support one of our well-established clients with long-distance trunking work. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for 1-3 shifts per week on an ad-hoc basis, with work scheduled in advance wherever possible.

You'll need a Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC and Digi Tacho cards, with at least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience. Morning start times, 10–12 hour shifts, and the ability to strap loads safely are expected.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards.
• Confidence driving long-distance routes.
• Flexibility to work evenings and accept short-notice work.
• Ability to safely strap loads.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 trunking and long-distance driving.
• Morning start times with typical shifts of 10–12 hours.
• Ad-hoc work arranged in advance where possible.
• Collect from and return to depot.
• Operate curtain-sided vehicles.
