Job summary

HireGiant is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Derby, near Pride Park. This is an ongoing, full-time LGV role with the potential to become permanent. Typical shifts start around 08:00 with 8–12 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with optional weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include trunking between two points or 1–3 drops daily, ensuring paperwork is in order, completing vehicle checks, and complying with WTD and EU Tachograph rules while operating the HGV.

Qualifications

• Category C+E licence entitlement required.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card required.

The Role:

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be:

Making goods deliveries to DCs and RDCsWork is simple trunking between two points or 1-3 drops per day.Ensuring delivery is recovered and paperwork is in orderCompleting HGV vehicle checksAdhering to WTD and EU Tacho rules and regulations while driving the HGV truckWorking Monday to Friday (optional weekend shifts available)Starting around 08:00am daily - shifts between 8-12 hours
