Wright Staff are currently looking for experienced HGV C+E Class 1 drivers for a new contract.

The opportunity – Wright Staff is proud to represent a large, family-run distribution company located near Brierly Hill, Birmingham.

Our client is seeking HGV C+E Class 1 drivers to work alongside their own team.

The Job:

The ideal candidate will be expected to drive an HGV C+E Class 1 vehicle, delivering steel tube and sheet products.

Most routes involve trunking or trailer swaps, with no handball use of steel trailers. Experience delivering steel would be beneficial for load securing, etc.

Shift lengths can be long but are compliant with legal requirements, with normal start times between 05:00 & 07:00 am. Ongoing work is available.

Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends available for work.

Pay:

Days: £15 per hour (PAYE only)

Weekends / Bank Holidays: £17 per hour (PAYE)

Note: No limited company contractors accepted.

You will require:

• UK HGV C+E Class 1 driving licence, held for 2 years for insurance purposes.
• Some steel experience preferred.
• Valid UK CPC card.
• Valid UK Digi Card.

Minimum experience, training, or qualifications required:

• Drivers must have their category C+E Licence with no more than 3 points and no TT’s, IN’s, TS, DR, or DD codes.
• Must have a valid UK Digi Card and full CPC.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable dealing with the public.
