Job summary

Pure Staff Driving is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to support a large dairy distribution client in Tewkesbury. This varied role involves trunking to RDCs, stores and customer locations with day, night and weekend shifts. New Pass drivers welcome to apply, with ongoing regular work available.

Direct PAYE employment is offered with weekly pay, transparent pay and optional rolled-up holiday pay. Drivers must meet licence, tachograph, CPC requirements and keep within points limits.

Qualifications

• UK Cat C Licence is required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver CPC Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
• Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks.
• Experience using tail lifts and handling cages is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trunking runs to Regional Distribution Centres, supermarket stores and customer locations.
• Return empty cages to distribution centres as required.
• Work a mix of day and night shifts, including weekends (Mon-Sun, excluding Sat nights and Sun morning starts).
• Adhere to Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations and maintain compliance.

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our legacy customers based in Tewkesbury. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing work with one of the South West's leading dairy producers. New Pass Drivers are welcome to apply.

Our customer is one of the UK's largest independent family-owned dairies, supplying fresh milk, cream, butter, cheese and dairy products to retailers, food manufacturers, hospitality businesses and homes across the South West, Midlands and Wales. Operating a modern transport fleet from its headquarters in Tewkesbury, they have built an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and investing in both their people and their fleet.

Drivers will complete a mixture of trunking runs to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), supermarket stores and customer locations, along with returning empty cages to distribution centres. This is a varied Class 1 role offering both day and night shifts across Monday to Sunday (excluding Saturday nights and Sunday morning starts). Start times available across the whole 24-hour period. Ongoing work is available with consistent shifts for dependable drivers.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:

Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.61ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Monday to Friday (Nights) = £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Weekends if available = £20.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £22.41ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
