A leading emergency response service provider in Gillingham seeks a postholder to operate company vehicles and participate in standby emergency response. The role requires working a 45-hour week with flexible shift hours from Wednesday to Sunday and a professional driving qualification. The postholder is contracted to be on standby / work a 45-hour week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break, based on a 10-hour shift within a 24-hour window from Wednesday to Sunday to satisfy standby emergency response requirements. Additionally, there is a significant requirement to be available for overtime. Usual hours are from 19:00 to 05:00; however, shift hours may be altered to accommodate work requirements with prior notice.
The postholder is required to operate any company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified. As the duties of this role include those of a professional driver, all vehicle operations must be conducted safely and in full compliance with relevant laws and legislation. Furthermore, the postholder will undertake duties associated with that of an operator.
