Job Purpose:

The ClarusONE Controller is central to the stewardship of the joint venture, overseeing accounting, controls, tax, statutory reporting, and fund flows, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic goals. The role involves partnering with US and India finance teams, legal, sourcing, and leadership to ensure accurate, timely activities and strategic alignment. The Controller supports process improvements, cost optimization, and risk mitigation, working closely with Member Finance teams and being part of the London leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of financial statements for a complex business.
• Coordinate with US teams on accounting policies and closing processes.
• Implement UK GAAP statutory accounting and reporting.
• Maintain data controls to comply with sharing restrictions.
• Manage Finance shared service relationships.
• Assist with tax and transfer pricing monitoring.
• Oversee billing, collections, and Member downstream processes.
• Review contracts for compliance and risk.
• Ensure adherence to partnership agreements and support strategic modifications.
• Lead budgeting, reporting, and financial forecasting.
• Collaborate on system development and compliance (SOX).
• Manage delegation of authority and support governance activities.
• Support Board and audit activities.
• Foster collaboration and develop key relationships.
• Line management of Senior Manager Accounting, including setting objectives and reviews.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Qualified Accountant.
• Minimum 10 years post-qualified experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with compliance focus.
• Experience in financial controls and risk management.
• Ability to build relationships across functions and levels.
• Adaptability and strategic decision-making skills.
