Job description

Description
The Claims Trainer and Auditor will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for claims handlers, as well as conducting audits to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in claims handling and a strong understanding of training methodologies and auditing practices, along with an element of claims handling in Employers Liability and Public Liability Claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs for claims handlers, covering all aspects of claims handling processes and procedures.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Auditing: Perform regular audits of claims files to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify areas for improvement in claims handling processes, training needs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training activities and audit findings, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Mentorship: Provide ongoing support and mentorship to claims handlers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance: Ensure all training and auditing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in claims handling, training, and auditing, and incorporate this knowledge into training programs and audit processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Preferred 5 years of experience in claims handling, with a focus on training and auditing.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and auditing tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
