Are you an experienced legal professional with a background in insurance litigation, public liability claims, or similar fields? Do you have a passion for managing claims and leading a team of skilled professionals? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Claims Team!
About the Role:
The Claims Team handles a variety of inbound claims against the organisation. In addition, the team manages other public liability and personal injury matters, as well as statutory compensation claims related to our works. Working closely with external solicitors, we also manage a significant portion of the claims in-house.
As a Claims Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, which includes three experienced claims officers. You will also have access to a paralegal pool and will collaborate with retained loss adjusters and insurers. Your role will encompass everything from the initial input on incidents to managing compensation claims, often at the pre-litigation stage. You will also oversee litigated claims as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from start to finish.

This role is ideal for an experienced Legal Executive or Solicitor with a background in insurance litigation or public liability claims. While prior experience in line management is beneficial, it is not essential. We are more interested in your credibility as a lawyer and your experience managing cases where junior team members were involved.
