Claims Specialist – Property

Are you looking to build your career in insurance and have a keen interest in claims?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Global Property Claims team. You’ll be part of a supportive team that handles claims for some of the world’s most recognised organisations, gaining valuable insight into London Market processes along the way.

In this role, the successful individual will gain hands-on experience with London Market processes and build expertise in a supportive and encouraging environment.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office.

What the day will look like

In this exciting role, you will be engaged in the management and administration of new and existing notifications, collections and the successful resolution of a portfolio of Global Property claims. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with first notification of claims and understanding / learning about the scope of coverages in place
  • Dealing with markets, client and placement teams, network offices, underwriters and appointed third parties (loss adjusters, lawyers etc)
  • Help facilitate and follow up on the payment and settlement of claims for clients with underwriters
  • Coordinate discussions, meetings and technical support to facilitate a superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the handling and settlement of claims
  • Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment
  • Liaison with other teams as necessary to ensure sharing of relevant information and any other tasks that Aon and your line manager might reasonably require
