Job Title: Claims Specialist, Global Property, Construction & Property Binders

Permanent

£60,000 - £67,000 + Bonus + benefits and a solid career path.

Ideal candidates will have approximately 3-4 years of Lloyd's global property claims handling experience, at a minimum.

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role offers an opportunity to join a leading property and construction insurer in a claims specialist capacity. The successful applicant will handle complex claims, mentor junior team members, and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders to strengthen AXIS' market position.

What will you do in this role?

1. Adjust all types of property and construction claims worldwide, following guidelines and reporting to the Claims Manager.
2. Manage third-party service providers, legal advisors, and experts to ensure quality claims service.
3. Develop strong relationships with clients and brokers.
4. Handle claims for Company Market and Lloyd's Syndicates.
5. Assist with complex cases and guide junior colleagues.
6. Possess knowledge of handling complex claims, reserving, and coverage analysis.
7. Coordinate with underwriters, expert panels, and attend client meetings as needed.
8. Collaborate with Risk Management and Actuarial teams for information sharing.
9. Work with the Reinsurance team on recoveries and queries.
10. Maintain accurate claims files manually and electronically.
11. Perform additional duties as appropriate.

What You Need To Have

• Understanding of the London Market in relevant classes.
• Claims handling experience in insurance, with property and/or construction knowledge.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong communication skills for technical concepts.
• Disciplined decision-making focused on results.
• Team-oriented with motivation skills.

What We Prefer You To Have

• Experience in a syndicate, company, or brokerage within claims.
• Knowledge of ECF2 and London market systems, including Docosoft.
• Degree or professional qualification (e.g., CII).
• Interest in property and construction, with a desire to expand technical knowledge.
