Claims Service Adviser, 12m Fixed Term Contract, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester or Newcastle

About the role

Are you a Claims Handler with experience in handling UK commercial or Personal Lines claims? Are you able to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and secure the best possible claims outcomes? If so, we have an opportunity for you to work on a hybrid basis with an office in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, or Newcastle.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring prompt notification of claims to insurers, establishing coverage, and assisting clients with disclosures or data gathering.
  2. Managing claims from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to settlement, advocating for clients, and protecting their interests.
  3. Providing expert guidance, technical analysis, and support to clients.
  4. Maintaining relationships with key client contacts.
  5. Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, and internal stakeholders.
  6. Managing electronic claim files accurately and within SLA.
  7. Attending claims review meetings and producing reports on claims experience where required.

Skills and experience for success

  1. Experience in Insurance Claims, especially in Motor, Property, or Liability classes.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and structured environment.
  3. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent negotiation skills.
