Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Recovery Claims Handler for our in-house team Strata Solicitors in the UK. You will manage a caseload of uninsured loss recovery claims and deliver exceptional client service.

After probation (3 months), you can work from home two days per week. Office hours are 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours. We support career progression with financial backing for professional qualifications like CII or legal credentials.

Qualifications

• Fast learner and able to make sound decisions quickly.
• Able to negotiate and influence people both in writing and over the phone.
• Confident using the phone to get updates and resolve disputes.
• Work well independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Pride and ownership with a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of the Highway Code would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage your own uninsured loss recovery claims.
• Communicate with third parties and insurers on liability for road traffic accidents.
• Respond to written and phone enquiries clearly and promptly.
• Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly and efficient service.
• Maintain accurate information on our claims system.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and consider litigation when appropriate.
