Job Title: Claims Operations Manager – Volume Claims
Location: West Yorkshire

The Role:

Are you a driven operations leader with a passion for delivering exceptional service and driving innovation in a high-volume claims environment? Our client, a leading legal services company, is looking for a Claims Operations Manager to lead their Volume Claims division. As a key member of their leadership team, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end service delivery, inspire high-performing teams, and champion continuous improvement across the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the full lifecycle of Volume Claims operations, including onboarding, digital processing, complaints handling, and customer servicing.
  2. Ensure excellent service delivery to partner clients, meeting service levels, conversion targets, and budget expectations.
  3. Drive performance through inspirational leadership of Team Leaders and frontline colleagues.
  4. Oversee client care processes, regulatory adherence, and customer escalation resolution.
  5. Manage operational resource planning and performance reporting, including productivity, handling metrics, and customer outcomes.
  6. Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to support key partner relationships, lead audits, and deliver bespoke MI.
  7. Enhance operational controls, process governance, and IT incident tracking.
  8. Develop colleague capability through training, multiskilling, and talent pipelines.
  9. Proven experience leading operations teams of 50–150 FTE, preferably in a professional services or high-volume claims environment.
  10. A confident people leader, passionate about colleague development and delivering excellent service.
  11. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence at all levels.
  12. Experience in performance and MI reporting, with strong analytical skills.
  13. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and embracing new technologies.
  14. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint). Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
