About the Role

We are seeking a Claims Insight Delivery Manager to join our Performance team. The role can be based remotely or at our offices in Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

As a senior team member, you will be responsible for developing best-in-class Claims Insight, managing the link between operational claims, pricing, underwriting, reserving, and external stakeholders, using data to inform business results.

You will leverage your actuarial knowledge and insights to inform reserving projections and contribute to the 5-year strategic plan.

Developing talent is important to us; you'll play a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting their development.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder management and presenting insights to executive levels
  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, or similar data tools
  • Knowledge of actuarial methodologies, especially claims reserving
  • Deliver regular reports on claims performance and trends
  • Build and maintain data models to analyze claims data
  • Present data insights clearly and effectively to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with operational and finance teams to improve claims performance
  • Mentor and develop Claims Insight analysts
  • Support forecasting and external benchmarking activities
  • Represent the Claims Insight function in stakeholder meetings
Experience & Knowledge
  • Proven experience with data mining, transformation, and reporting using SAS, SQL
  • Experience in claims indemnity performance analysis
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership and team development experience
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL
  • Understanding of actuarial and insurance industry concepts
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
