Senior Travel Claims Handler – Cardiff (Hybrid Working)
Yolk Recruitment are proud to be working with a growing insurance services provider in central Cardiff, looking to welcome a senior Travel Claims Handler to their friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working model (2-3 days a week).

What you'll be doing
- Reviewing and processing complex travel insurance claims and complaints, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy terms and industry regulations.
- Proactively identifying and addressing training needs within the team and promoting continuous learning.
- Conducting quality checks and providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Supporting the Claims Team Leader with day-to-day departmental activities.
- Acting as a role model, championing and helping to implement process improvements.
- Contributing positively to team meetings and regular performance discussions.
- Managing your caseload proactively, ensuring timely progress and resolution.
- Negotiating settlements and processing payments within agreed limits.
- Identifying and suggesting ways to improve operational processes and efficiencies.
- Ensuring quality, service standards, and productivity remain consistently high.
What you'll bring
- At least 12 months' experience in a travel insurance claims environment (essential).
- The ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, third parties, and suppliers.
- A self-motivated approach, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Confidence in meeting daily and weekly deadlines.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
