Job description
Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Private Clients and Personal Lines Claims Handler to join our team. This role involves managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and personal lines insurance claims, ensuring a seamless and empathetic customer experience from first notification to settlement. You will act as a key liaison between clients, insurers, and service providers, delivering exceptional service and efficient claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a range of personal lines and private client claims including home, motor and travel.
  • Manage the claims process from first notification of loss (FNOL) through to final settlement.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other third parties to ensure timely and fair resolution.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients throughout the claims journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the claims management system.
  • Identify and escalate complex or high value claims as appropriate.
  • Independently assess and manage complex claims, utilising your extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims function.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in handling personal lines or high-net-worth insurance claims.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and claims processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple claims and prioritise effectively.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • General Insurance principles and practice.
  • Proficient in using claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
