We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our existing claims team. Your day to day responsibilities will be:

  • Producing and presenting reports as and when required to clients, account executives, insurers or colleagues.
  • Liaise with and advise customers on claims procedures.
  • Creating new claims files and claim entries + updating claims payments.
  • Proactively manage claims from first notification of loss to final settlement.
  • Claim types include motor fleet, Combined Liability, Travel, Personal and Commercial.
  • Balance your workload in order to service the client promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide technical advice to clients when required and through duration of claim.
  • Negotiating with insurers, loss adjusters and other agents to achieve the most beneficial and cost-effective settlement for the client.
  • Ensure claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance with SLA’s.
  • Maintenance of a diary system for outstanding workload.
  • Prepare and maintain client claims experience records.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Claims handling experience with an insurer, loss adjuster or similar organisation is essential.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, including policy research and investigation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial/private customers.
  • Knowledge of general insurance and its underlying legal principles.
  • Previous experience on Acturis would be an advantage.
