Claims Handler CH2

Location: Liverpool

Description

Keoghs is seeking a Claims Handler (CH2) to join their Liverpool team. The role involves managing a caseload of pre-litigated and Low Value Pre Litigated Motor Claims for our Corporate clients, requiring MOJ/OIC Claims Handling experience.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigated motor claims up to £25k, including high value/complex cases from inception to settlement.
  • Identify cases suitable for early litigation.
  • Deliver high levels of service and maintain productivity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality service.
  • Accurately input and maintain data.
  • Communicate effectively with clients.
  • Mentor and support team members; serve as a technical referral point.
Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. The primary location is Liverpool, with a hybrid working model of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential: ULR RTA handling experience of pre-litigated matters; litigation knowledge is desirable.
  • Full claim cycle experience, including quantum assessment, liability investigation, and settlement negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Attention to detail, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support new starters.

Desirable:

  • Litigation claims handling.
  • Knowledge of Loss of Use/Loss of Standing Charge.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
