Claims Handler

Looking for a foot in the door of the insurance industry?

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic Claims Handler to join our Liverpool claims team. This role involves managing the end-the-end buildings insurance claims, supporting our clients through each stage, and ensuring fair and timely claim resolutions.

Whether you're an experienced Claims Handler looking for a new challenge, or if you're driven by providing excellent customer experience and interested in starting you career in insurance, we'd love to hear from you!

This role is very customer focused, requiring you to provide a professional and excellent claims service to our clients from first notification to settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage claims from initial notification to settlement.
  • Maintain our partnerships with clients and external service providers.
  • Assess and validate claims documentation and evidence.
  • Provide regular and clear updates to clients regarding claim status.
  • Provide settlements within designated authority levels.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Detect and escalate potential fraudulent claims.

Experience & Attributes:

  • Basic qualifications in English & Maths
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
  • Previous Claims Handling knowledge would be helpful but not essential
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Good customer service skills
