Job summary

Parker Franklyn, a Leeds-based independent insurance broker, is expanding its Claims team and seeking an experienced Claims Executive to own a loyal client portfolio, primarily motor with liability and property, and run it their own way.

Expect two days of client visits in Leeds, Manchester, Cumbria and North Wales, with the rest of the week spent in the office building relationships with claims handlers, account executives and the wider team, all with real autonomy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Claims Executive for an insurance broker.
• Cert CII at minimum; Dip CII or higher is advantageous.
• Comfortable with independent broker clients and the covers they carry.
• Valid UK driving licence due to travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage an established client portfolio (primarily motor, with liability and property).
• Two days per week visiting clients in Leeds, Manchester, Cumbria and North Wales; remaining days in the office building relationships with the Claims Exec team.
• Operate with autonomy and minimal supervision, delivering results and quarterly reviews.

Fancy a claims role where nobody’s looking over your shoulder?

Our client is an independent insurance broker on a serious growth trajectory — and their Claims team is growing right along with it. They’re looking for an experienced Claims Executive to take ownership of an established, loyal client portfolio (predominantly motor, with a healthy mix of liability and property) and run it their way.

This isn’t a role where someone hovers over your shoulder. You’ll manage your own diary, your own relationships and your own results — with the full backing of a close-knit Claims Exec team, Account Executives and Account Handlers whenever you actually need them.

The portfolio you’ll inherit

• Around 45 clients, the majority based in and around Leeds and Manchester, with a handful further afield in Cumbria and North Wales — a genuinely scenic change of scenery on the days you’re on the road
• Around 30 of those on a quarterly review cycle, so you’re not firefighting claim-by-claim — you’re building long-term trust with the same faces, visit after visit
• A genuinely varied caseload — roughly 60% motor, 25% liability/property, 15% other

What the week looks like

• Around two days out visiting clients face-to-face — mostly Leeds and Manchester, with trips out to Cumbria and North Wales worked in
• The rest of the week in the office, building relationships with claims handlers, account executives, account handlers and the wider Claims Exec team
• Real autonomy to manage your book the way you know works

What we’re looking for

• Currently working as a Claims Executive for another broker — essential
• Cert CII qualified as a minimum; Dip CII or above a strong advantage
• Comfortable and credible with independent broker clients and the range of covers they carry
• A full UK driving licence, given the travel involved
• The judgement to manage relationships without needing constant sign-off
