About the role:
Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? Join our Reinsurance Claims team as a Claims Data Insights Analyst and help shape the future of claims analytics. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your analytical skills will directly support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The Claims Data Insights Analyst will support the Reinsurance Claims team by assisting in the development and analysis of data models and reports. This role is responsible for gathering data, maintaining dashboards, and performing initial analysis to support the tactical and strategic initiatives of the Reinsurance Claim Department. The Analyst will work closely with internal constituents to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop reports and dashboards by gathering requirements and running queries.
Support senior claims management with routine reporting and initial data analysis.
Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Identify trends and patterns in complex data sets for further review.
Consolidate data from various sources into effective reporting platforms.
Compile industry, peer, and macroeconomic data for analysis.
Prepare materials and reports for management review.
Provide data support to the technical claims team and liaise across departments.
Assist in workflow analysis to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) and willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of databases (SQL Server, MS Access) preferred.
Experience with document management systems (e.g., OnBase, ImageRight, SharePoint) is a plus.
Solid understanding of statistics and Excel-based data analysis.
Advanced PC skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
