Recruit Ins are looking for a Claims Assistant for a global loss adjusters, this is a home working role. As a Claims Assistant you will be responsible for registering and processing insurance claims relating to customers' General Liability, motor, and property policies. This will involve working with the policy holder, brokers, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure that the claim is valid. You'll be responsible for managing client inboxes along with the portal and OICP to ensure every new claim is processed within 1 business day. You will also be involved in processing payments as and when necessary, managing diary, instructing suppliers to the claims process and providing regular updates to clients. You'll be assisting the wider claims team with providing the customer any other services that may be required following an accident or incident.

Claims Assistant Job Role

  • Manage the OICP and MOJ portal for the team, ensuring all new claims are allocated and that the handler is aware of any medical evidence that has been submitted.
  • Manage the client inboxes for new claims and correspondence.
  • Liaise with adjusters and clients on claims that are not solely handled by the TPA team.
  • Register injury claims with CACHE for the team.
  • Assist the team with making payments as necessary.
  • Assist the team with diary management and manage your own where claims are being handled by the adjusters.
  • Assist with pre-fixing post in the system.
  • Utilize our IT system designed to help you do your job effectively, allowing you to see your outstanding tasks and manage your workload.

Claims Assistant Skills

  • Liaising with adjusters, clients, and solicitors as necessary.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
