I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate that is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join their growing Marine team.

This role involves working closely with the Head of Claims to deliver exceptional claims handling services from first notice of loss to settlement. The successful candidate will handle claims related to cargo and logistics worldwide, so experience in this area is essential. The client is looking for someone with approximately 5 years of experience in this space within the London Market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional end-to-end service from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) through to claim resolution.
  • Claims Handling: Investigate, evaluate, and resolve cargo and logistics claims efficiently and fairly.
  • Recovery and Subrogation: Support efforts related to recovery, subrogation, and salvage, maximising outcomes where possible.
  • Client & Broker Engagement: Act as the primary contact throughout the full lifecycle of each claim, ensuring proactive and transparent communication with clients and brokers.
  • Claims Oversight: Oversee the claims process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Third-Party Network Management: Manage and coordinate a network of TPAs, surveyors, and legal partners to support claim outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyse and improve internal claims workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Insights: Produce regular claims reports, communicating key metrics and trends clearly.
  • Trend Identification: Collaborate with Data and Partnerships teams to identify emerging claims trends and provide strategic insights.
