The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional claims service to customers by managing complex claims effectively. This includes assessing policy coverage, investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims, as well as collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders while offering technical support.

Claims Adjuster - International Property

London/Hybrid

The Opportunity

Working in our Complex claims team, you will be responsible for efficiently handling a dedicated case load of open market International Property claims with primary focus on North America.

Your new role:

  • Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable the delivery of overall business targets.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines, policy changes, and modifications.
  • Maintain good client relationships with insured individuals, agents, service providers, and the general public.
  • Provide claim management for International Property claims.
  • Respond to client requests following service standards.
  • Assist with the negotiation of claims settlements.
  • Participate in relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff as required.

About you

  • Have experience of handling complex international property claims
  • Developed investigation and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective workload organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Comfortable with manipulating data and producing reports with ability to use MS Office applications and ECF
