Claims Account Handler (up to £28k)

An experienced Claims Handler is required by a leading Independent Global Loss Adjuster providing Loss Adjusting, Claims, and Risk Management Services, focusing on Specialty Markets and Complex Commercial claims. The successful candidate will join the Essex Team, reporting to the Claims Manager, and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Property and Liability Claims for the UK and Europe through to settlement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims
  • Liaising with Insured, Insurers/Brokers to conclude claims timely
  • Coordinating with overseas stakeholders
  • Producing reports
  • Ensuring compliance with time reporting and billing
  • Collaborating with Adjusters as needed
  • Attending client review meetings

About you:

  • Experience in claims handling, including caseload management
  • Experience with Property Claims covering all perils
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Proven negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Target-driven mindset
  • Industry qualifications or working towards them
