Job description

Civil Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Civil and Structural CAD Technician to join a well-established and respected engineering consultancy. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial sectors, contributing to high-quality deliverables and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Detail and model a variety of building, infrastructure, and utility projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation.
  • Produce layout drawings, reinforcement detailing, and scheduling.
  • Draft underground drainage systems, including S104 applications, SUDS, and Highways Section 38 and 278 applications.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Attend design team meetings to provide technical input and ensure alignment with client and team expectations.
  • Site visits and client meetings.

As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you are required to have the following qualifications:

  • ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with a proven track record of high-quality draughtsmanship.
  • Experience with infrastructure, utilities, or electrical cabling.
  • Knowledge of industry drafting standards.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Microstation.
  • Strong IT skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car for site visits.
