Job description

Our client who operates within the Civil and Structural Engineering sector as well as the Geotechnical and Infrastructure is looking for a Civils Technician in their Oxfordshire office. This would be an excellent opportunity for a Civils Technician looking to get EngTech MICE on an ICE Training Scheme, in a highly supportive environment in a well-regarded and growing company with an excellent benefit and well-being package.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute your expertise in drainage adoption procedures, including Section 106/104, Sewers for Adoption, and SuDS Manual principles.
  • Build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with professional teams using your excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Use CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, to create accurate drawings and models.
  • Support the production of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
  • Coordinate with local authorities for approvals, including Section 38, 278, and 104 agreements.
  • Possess a recognized engineering or CAD qualification.
  • Technical expertise with highways and civil engineering design software such as Civil 3D, Site 3D, AutoTrack, and MicroDrainage/Flow.
  • Ability to take ownership of the technical approval process with your self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of highway planning procedures, including Section 38/278 Agreements, MfS, and DMRB standards, to exciting projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment while following instructions and contributing to collaborative success.
