Job summary

Lanes Group is looking for a Civils Team Leader to lead the civils team on site, delivering work to meet client SLAs efficiently and cost-effectively. You will provide technical expertise and work within a team to ensure first-class service and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with scheduling to manage programmes, oversee on-site safety, and communicate with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in deep excavations and sewer repairs on civil contracts.
• Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
• CPCS above/below 10 tonne with lift ops certification.
• HSG47, SSSTS, Streetworks accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibility for the civils team and their daily activities.
• Organise labour cost-effectively, including recruitment, wages and absence management.
• Manage materials, subcontractors, plant, and other resources.
• Lead monthly team briefings and coaching to develop staff.
• Support KPI delivery, attend client and council meetings, maintain safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company safety procedures.
• Cover all aspects of civils works.
