Job description

We are hiring a Civils Site Supervisor to work on clean water projects.

• Salary: £22 per hour

• Travel and overnight stays will be part of the role

We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater, and the environment.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible, in a supervisory capacity, for overseeing day-to-day site operations. Your role is to ensure civil engineering projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Utilise specialist civils experience to assist with and supervise complex civils schemes valued between £100k-£5m.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures throughout all project stages, including health and safety, quality, environmental, and conduct requirements.
  • Supervise daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Report all accidents and issues immediately to management.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy working environment with full PPE at all times.
  • Report site changes promptly, including client instructions and environmental changes.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety bulletins regularly.
  • Lead health, safety, and welfare initiatives on site, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage machinery and materials, ensuring proper storage and timely off-hire of equipment.
Who we're looking for
  • Experience in small to medium civil projects, including groundworks, formwork, concrete works, footpaths, and excavations with shoring.
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification
  • Plant operator experience for excavators 10 ton and above, and dumper preferred
  • Experience with temporary works installation and management, holding a temporary works supervisor qualification
  • Ability to operate and manage plant and permit issuance (e.g., digging permits)
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, following training
  • Full driving license
