Job description

Cleantech Civils is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team for upcoming works in the Mid Suffolk District. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects, particularly within utilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinating and managing all subcontractors, trades, and labour.
  2. Ensuring all subcontractors, trades and labour have adequate resources to complete works according.
  3. Promote a safety work culture.
  4. Responsible and accountable for the safety of the crew under their direction.
  5. Communicate and ensure compliance with the Company QHSE policies and procedures.
  6. Facilitate mandatory safety toolbox talk meetings.
  7. Participate in safety/incident investigations.
  8. Ensure that plant and equipment checks are carried out on site.
  9. Communicate the particular job to and with the crews involved.
  10. Assign crew tasks and resolve issues between crew members.
  11. Maintain work standards and outline behavioural expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity.
  12. Apply the principles of workplace respect on site.
  13. Liaise with local authorities to ensure all services are implemented on the site.
  14. Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production.
  15. Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans.
  16. Inspect and measure completed work.
  17. Supervise & schedule material testing and specialist site testing.
  18. Report on work progress.
  19. Establish and promote best quality practice.
  20. Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
  1. Min. 10 years site-based experience with a qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering.
  2. Extensive site experience of civils/water/sewer environment.
  3. Valid Safe Pass and/or CSCS card holder.
  4. Experience in working in a fast-paced and pressured environment adhering to strict deadlines and budgets.
  5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Experience using Microsoft Program or similar system.
  7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
