Elvet Recruitment is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading heavy civil engineering contractor near Leeds. The role covers cradle-to-grave commercial duties on Yorkshire Water framework projects with guaranteed work in Yorkshire and strong regional growth potential.

You will manage NEC contracts, develop cost plans, subcontractor procurement and financial control across multiple schemes, reporting to the regional commercial team. A Quantity Surveyor degree and IT literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor responsible for running own projects.
• Experience with NEC contracts in civil engineering projects.
• Experience within Yorkshire Water or similar utilities background is desirable.
• Relevant Quantity Surveyor degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and similar IT packages.

Responsibilities

• Run own projects cradle to grave across multiple schemes.

This large main contractor are a well-known name in their sector with ongoing international growth. They’re a key capital partner for Yorkshire Water and framework holders for a number of Water clients nationwide for past several AMP frameworks. They have several hundred million £'s worth of work on the horizon - all with a heavy civils focus. The company offers a Quantity Surveyor the opportunity for total responsibility to run several projects cradle to grave. An opportunity to join a 15 strong regional commercial team and progress into a Senior Surveyor position managing new Assistant Surveyors to the business.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience at Quantity Surveyor level responsible for running own project
• Experience within Yorkshire Water is desired, similar utilities background
• Experience day to day with NEC contracts
• Relevant Quantity Surveyor degree
• Experience of Microsoft and similar IT packages
