Job summary

Bridgeman Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a major civil engineering contractor in South Wales. The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on time, and to the required quality, with duties spanning planning, coordination, and site supervision.

You will liaise with the principal contractor, client, and subcontractors, manage project information, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable project management experience on civil engineering sites.
• Strong planning, organisational, commercial, and communication skills.
• Experience managing health and safety documentation and site records.
• Valid SMSTS certification and health & safety qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with the project programme.
• Plan and schedule works, coordinating labour, subcontractors, and resources.
• Complete material take-offs and place orders through Head Office.
• Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place and complete all required health and safety documentation.
• Maintain accurate site records and complete contractor and project paperwork.
• Monitor costs and liaise closely with the Commercial team.
• Manage project information systems and document control.
• Ensure works are completed to the correct drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with the principal contractor, client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Our client is a specialist civil engineering main contractor delivering structural repairs, waterproofing, expansion joints, cathodic protection, and temporary works. As part of one of Europe's largest construction groups, the company offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
