Job summary

Lanes Group is a leading nationwide utility services provider and a company focused on delivering essential drainage and civils support. The role supports the United Utilities contracts via Sapphire Utility Solutions, performing groundwork, trenching, pipe laying, and over-pumping system maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have a Full UK driving license and NPORS, with strong safety awareness and the ability to read drainage plans and follow method statements.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• NPORS qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience as Banksman and in risk assessment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of NRSWA and utility works processes is expected.
• Safety training including Emergency First Aid and asbestos awareness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain great customer service and communication with stakeholders.
• Adhere to absence reporting procedures and site documentation using tablets.
• Ensure works follow approved method statements and safe systems of work.
• Carry out site risk assessments and discuss changes with the team.
• Operate machinery and tools safely to support construction tasks.
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness of equipment.
