**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A NATIONAL ROLE**

The Civils Operative will be required to perform excavations, repairs, re-reinstatements, installation of ducting, chambers, and street cabinets, and the installation of draw rope on telecoms infrastructure located within the public highway and customers' premises. All tasks must be carried out using up-to-date client standard operating procedures, in full compliance with current legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies.

Responsibilities and duties

• Drive and operate a 7.5t Tipper (where required)
• Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets, and associated customer connections
• Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard, ensuring all information and photos are captured on company assets (phone or tablet)
• Be competent in using Stihl Saws, Wacker plates, trench compactors, jack hammers, and hold the correct certifications. Competency with a mini digger is advantageous.
• Install new draw rope to customer's connection point following duct and box installation
• Complete paperwork such as job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets, and van sheets daily
• Experience in risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong focus on health and safety
• Be responsible for company assets and plant used for duties
• Treat internal and external customers with respect and provide support
• Ensure compliance with all client processes and procedures
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members

Requirements

• Hold a 7.5t Tipper license (where required)
• Experience in operational or engineering environments within telecommunications is advantageous
• Proven skills in street works with recognized qualifications
• Full UK driver’s license
• Qualifications: NRSWA, CSCS or equivalent, CPCS
• Good physical health
