Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a Civils Operative in London to safely undertake civil excavation works and meet contract targets. You will comply with NRSWA, maintain professional interactions, and uphold health, safety and environmental procedures on site.

We value experience in utilities, a full driving licence, CSCS/EUSR cards, and plant ticket qualifications. A competitive package includes pension, healthcare and generous holiday allowances.

Qualifications

• Full and valid driving licence.
• CSCS and/or EUSR card required.
• Experience in utilities with safe excavation.
• Commitment to high safety standards.
• Plant tickets (dumper, telehandler, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Comply with NRSWA and client specifications.
• Interact politely and professionally with colleagues, customers and the public.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures and maintain quality of work.
• Complete information related to completed and active jobs accurately.
• Work in line with RAMS and report deviations.
• Cooperate in any incident, accident or damage investigation.

We are delighted to work with SSE and business growth means that we have vacancies for operatives, to safely undertake civil excavation works, in a way that mitigates health and safety risks, as well as meeting contract targets.

The activities that you get involved with include:

• Complying with NRSWA and client specifications.
• Ensuring all interactions with colleagues, customers and members of the public are polite and professional, minimising the need to escape.
• Compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures and taking responsibility for the quality of work undertaken.
• Accurate and timely completion of all information related to completed and active jobs.
• Carrying out activities in accordance with the RAMS and highlighting/escalation deviations.
• Cooperating in any incident, accident or damage investigation.

If you have the following experience, we would love to hear from you:

• We are keen to receive applications from teams or individuals, with a full and valid driving licence.
• CSCS and / or EUSR card needed
• Experience working in the utilities industry including safe excavation.
• Good appreciation for high standards of work and safe working practices
• Any relevant plant tickets such a dumper, telehandler etc
