Job description

Civil Engineering contractor with long term project work in Mid Somerset require a General Foreman to work on a project. The GF will work alongside and assist the management team to oversee water related Civil Engineering works.

Duties include:

1. Supervision of ground workers, infrastructure, drainage and earthworks as required.
2. Management of plant, RC works, and temporary works.
3. Record keeping and ensuring work is completed within time, budget, quality and safety parameters.

The selected candidate will ideally have a minimum SSSTS and CSCS and be able to demonstrate good knowledge and experience working with main contractors on Civils, water and environmental projects. The GF role will start in April/May with some flexibility if necessary. Work will continue for approximately 6+ months with possibility of work beyond that if candidates prove suitable.

Day rate will be competitive and in line with experience.
