Elvet Recruitment is seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee civil engineering/infrastructure sites across Central Yorkshire, starting with an 18-month project in Barnsley. You will work alongside a Site Agent and Site Engineer, leading multiple gangs, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safe RAMS and progress reporting.

Requirements include prior General Foreman or Site Manager experience on £1m+ projects, CSCS/SMSTS/SSSTS, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Must have been General Foreman or Site Manager on varied civil engineering/infrastructure projects with values of £1m+.
• Experience delivering full road construction, s278 works, deep drainage, structures, etc. as General Foreman.
• Must hold CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS and full UK driving license.

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman on behalf of a thriving civil engineering main contractor to work on projects across Central Yorkshire with an initial 18 month site in Barnsley

This large main contractor have been established over 50 years and have developed a strong name in Yorkshire having undergone significant regional growth in recent years. They now need a General Foreman to join their team to help run sites at all stages. The General Foreman will be responsible for managing daily site works alongside a Site Agent and Site Engineer.

Projects: highways, s278 works, deep drainage, public realm / streetworks, flood defence, bridges / structures etc. General Civil Engineering works. Projects 5m- 15m.

All work is regional and most of the work is around the A1/M1 and M62 corridors in Yorkshire. They aim to keep staff within 1 hour of home where possible.

Duties/Responsibilities as General Foreman:

Remuneration:

A salary of up to 58,000 (dependant upon experience) plus

1. Company vehicle or circa. 6,500 per annum allowance
2. Fuel card for business mileage incl. personal mileage compensation
