Overview

Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) Investigator

Location: Lincoln, Boston, Grantham, Skegness
Contract: Until 31 March 2026
Hours: 37 per week (shift pattern with allowance)
Pay: £17.24 PAYE / £22.76 LTD per hour (paid weekly via an umbrella company)

Are you an experienced investigator looking to make a real difference? Join Lincolnshire Police as a Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) Investigator and play a vital role in safeguarding some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

The Role

As part of our PVP team, you\'ll investigate serious and complex crimes including rape, sexual offences, child and adult abuse, and child sexual exploitation. You\'ll:

  • Take ownership of investigations, from strategy to evidence gathering.
  • Interview suspects, victims, and witnesses with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Prepare and present case files for court in line with CPIA and disclosure requirements.
  • Attend court to give evidence.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to ensure safeguarding and risk management.
What We\'re Looking For
  • PIP1 qualified (essential).
  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and resilience when dealing with sensitive cases.
  • Minimum of 5 years UK residency.
