Job Title: Civilian Investigator – PIP Level 2
Location: St. Asaph / Llay / Colwyn Bay
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
Rate: £18.41 PAYE / £23.95 Umbrella

About the Role:
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Civilian Investigator to join the Amethyst Team (Crime Services) within a regional police force in North Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to serious and complex investigations and make a real impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct prompt and efficient investigations into serious and complex crimes.
  2. Take written and video-recorded statements from victims and witnesses.
  3. Assist in suspect interviews and digital/forensic evidence applications.
  4. Identify vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate support and regular updates are provided.
  5. Collate and analyse documentary evidence, complete case files and investigation reports.
  6. Present evidence in court and maintain records using internal police systems.
  7. Work closely with supervising officers to carry out further investigative enquiries.

Essential Requirements:
  1. PIP Level 2 Accreditation (mandatory).
  2. HNC or equivalent qualification, or extensive investigative experience.
  3. Background in file preparation and conducting interviews.
  4. Working knowledge of criminal law and police procedures.
  5. Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Full UK Driving Licence – ability to travel across North Wales.
  8. Motivated, self-disciplined and able to manage own caseload.
  9. Must meet Level 2 Spoken Welsh requirements (training can be provided).
