About the Company

We are currently working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who are looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to get involved in a variety of high-profile projects across sectors such as retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables.

About the Role

As a Civil Technician, you will play a key role in supporting engineers and producing high-quality technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civils 3D. You’ll also be involved in design problem-solving, liaising with statutory bodies, and helping to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civils 3D
• Produce and check basic engineering calculations
• Conduct initial reviews of your own work for accuracy and quality
• Contribute to design development and provide practical solutions to design issues
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and statutory bodies including local authorities, water companies, and the Environment Agency
• Work closely with engineers and other technicians to meet project deadlines and maintain output quality

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Technician
• Strong working knowledge of Civils 3D
• Familiarity with infrastructure design projects such as highways, drainage, or site development is highly advantageous
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
