Job summary

A leading engineering and construction company in the UK is seeking a Civil/Structural Project Engineer to lead civil and structural aspects of projects in the gas industry. The role involves managing various project phases and coordinating with stakeholders. Candidates should have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with at least an HNC in relevant engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Civil, Structures, and Structural Steelwork.
  • Good knowledge of design, process safety, and procurement.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate Civil/Structural aspects of large EPC projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in Civil / Structural elements within Gas industry projects.
  • Lead Civil / Structural aspects of multi-discipline projects from concept through to completion.
  • Assist with the development and review of Civil / Structural designs in accordance with the project programme.

A day in the life of a Murphy Civil/Structural Project Engineer
  1. Provide expertise in Civil / Structural elements within Gas industry projects.
  2. Lead Civil / Structural aspects of multi-discipline projects from concept through to completion.
  3. Assist with the development of the Civil / Structural work scope, delivery strategy, and programme.
  4. Assist with the development and review of Civil / Structural designs in accordance with the project programme.
  5. Manage installation and Inspection / Testing requirements.
  6. Challenge technical specifications where appropriate.
  7. Develop and manage Inspection and Testing documentation.
  8. Coordinate key stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.
  9. Attend and lead discipline-specific meetings with stakeholders and sub-contractors.
  10. Collaborate with supply chain partners to incorporate requirements into the project programme.
