Job summary

MHB Consultants is seeking an engineer to lead design and analysis across civil and structural projects. You will work with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, technically sound solutions.

The role involves detailing designs, producing drawings and reports, and performing site visits. A strong CPD focus and progression towards Incorporated/Chartered status are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ICE/IStructE accredited).
• Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with MS Office and design software.

Responsibilities

• Undertake preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform structural analysis and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Assist in fee/tender proposals and project initiation tasks.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections; ensure safety and QA compliance.
• Provide technical support to junior engineers and graduates.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
