Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to plan, coordinate and manage civil works at our Bury St Edmunds site. You will organise enabling activities, monitor progress, report to clients, and ensure programmes deliver maximum output while adhering to all quality and safety standards.

The role requires site supervision qualifications (SMSTS/SSSTS, NVQ level 3/4), CSCS Gold Card, 3 Day First Aid, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• NVQ level 3 or 4 site supervision
• CSCS Gold Card
• 3 Day First Aid
• EUSR water hygiene
• SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme)
• Temporary works co-ordinator or supervisor
• NRSWA
• Full UK driving licence. Training can be provided to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Plan works and organise all site enabling activities.
• Report on project progress and completions to ensure projects meet all Client standards.
• Ensure work programmes deliver the maximum output from teams.
• Ensure that the optimum method of construction is used.
• Ensure construction meets all standards set by Client /Customer.
• Complete all works within prescribed timescales.
• Work flexibly and respond effectively to emergency requirements of Clients.
• Manage the allocation of labour, ensuring best for task, monitoring and maximising production.
• Procure & mobilise resources (Labour, Plant & materials).
• Keep a close account of project costing, including purchasing, labour resources and hire, including monitoring the need for and use of hired-in plant and equipment.
• Coordinate site activities including management of labour, plant, materials, traffic management and associated subcontract activities.
• Predict future activities to ensure required resource is available for subsequent activities.
• Undertake civil engineering tasks on site when acting as a working supervisor.
