Civil / Senior Civil Engineer - Development Infrastructure

((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))

We are seeking a skilled Engineer or Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in Taunton, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects, reviewing and project managing projects whilst mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.

This design Consultancy works on projects in the UK and overseas delivering sustainable and development infrastructure for private and public sector clients. The office is multidisciplinary and works together across projects to deliver the highest standard of work. They work in the residential, railway, maritime, and structural sectors, where you will lead in drainage and highway design.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing infrastructure projects.
2. Reviewing designs and project work to the highest standard to deliver on client expectations.
3. Liaising with clients and stakeholders.
4. Mentoring junior staff.
5. Managing workload and working to tight deadlines.

Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. 3 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
3. Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PDS, Microdrainage, and Info Drainage PDS.
4. Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
6. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
