Civil Section Engineer

Job Description

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Civil Section Engineer on behalf of an international tier 1 civil engineering contractor to work on a large ongoing project around the Leeds area. The contractor has a huge name in the industry for delivering quality & delivering results for clients across the UK & further afield. They are looking to add to their team with the addition of another Site Engineer, initially working on a large highways project near Leeds (2 years duration). Further work secured across the North of England following this.

Project values with this team: £100m to £1bn+. On offer is also the opportunity to take advantage of this leading contractor's major development plan for engineering staff with accessible progression routes to management. They are passionate about training plans and funding degrees/tickets & chartership for their staff to always increase their capabilities across the business.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Complex setting out & checking of other Engineer's setting out
2. Construction Phase Plans
3. Producing documentation for site
4. Coordinating several Site Engineers & Graduate Engineers in work
5. Management of sub-contractors
6. Use of BIM to site level
7. Temporary Works briefings
8. Location of buried services & service avoidance

Experience Required

1. Must have experience working as Site Engineer & Section Engineer ideally on: highways, structures, deep drainage, RC works etc.
2. Must have experience working as principal contractor on projects £20m+
3. Industry related qualification (Degree or HNC/HND)

Remuneration

A salary of up to £54,000 (dependant upon experience) plus: Company vehicle, annual leave & option to buy/sell 5 days, 7% pension, healthcare for family and much more.
