Job summary

Caval Limited in Exeter, Devon, seeks an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead the civil package for a large-scale Solar Farm and BESS project near Exeter. You will oversee earthworks, drainage, roads, foundations and site infrastructure, coordinating with electrical, mechanical and construction teams to deliver on time and to budget.

The role is a long-term freelance contract paying £400-£450 per day, with CIS or Ltd Company engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing civil works on large-scale projects.
• Experience in solar farm/renewables is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong programme, quality and HSEQ understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete civil works package.
• Oversee earthworks, drainage, foundations and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site resources.
• Monitor progress against programme and budget.
• Ensure compliance with drawings/specifications and quality.
• Provide progress updates to project management.
