Job summary

Pontoon is seeking a Project Manager (civil engineering) to lead the development and delivery of civil infrastructure and consent modifications for transmission assets in the Southwest region. Portishead-based with hybrid working, you'll drive cross-disciplinary delivery and regulatory approvals.

You will coordinate civil works, governance, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring safe, sustainable access and timely project delivery across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Significant project management experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy or transmission projects.
• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects from concept through construction and handover.
• Experience working within planning, consenting or DCO-regulated environments.
• Demonstrable experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules and risk programmes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil works solutions to support the Material Change application and the subsequent detailed design and construction phases.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and external suppliers to achieve cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Support DCO Material Change submissions, approvals and implementation activities.
• Ensure effective engagement with stakeholders, landowners and statutory consultees.
• Maintain compliance with governance, assurance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular reporting on project performance, risks, opportunities and key milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote the capture and application of lessons learned across project delivery activities.
