Job summary

A telecommunications infrastructure company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil Operative to support civil construction projects, which include ducting, trenching, and cable laying. The role requires strong knowledge of civil construction techniques and proven experience in the telecommunications industry. Additionally, certifications such as NRSWA and a valid UK Manual Driving License are required. This position is vital for the successful execution of telecom infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Operative or similar role within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, methodologies, and materials used in telecom infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support in civil construction project of Telecom industry including ducting, trenching, reinstatements, and cable laying.
• Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment.
• Box / Chamber building (Heavy Civils Crews).
• Open cut trenching and installation of new duct and associated equipment in all surface types.
• Locating and clearing of blockages in various surface types.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Support in civil construction project of Telecom industry including but not limited to ducting, trenching, reinstatements, and cable laying.
• Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment.
• Box / Chamber building (Heavy Civils Crews)
• Open cut trenching and installation of new duct and associated equipment in all surface types, verge, footway and carriageway (public and private) (Heavy Civils Crews only)
• Sub-ducting and Install new draw rope or cable in new duct as required
• Locating and clearing of blockages in various surface types such as verge, footway and carriageway

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Civil Operative or similar role within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, methodologies, and materials used in telecom infrastructure projects.

Certifications:

SA006, Q013 (BB1M), Q019 (CD1), Q020 (DB1), Q021 (DL1)

NRSWA Operative All Courses.
