Sort Legal Limited in Birmingham is seeking a UK-qualified Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our growing Midlands firm, handling a diverse caseload for individuals and businesses nationwide.

You will manage cases independently, draft court documents, negotiate, and contribute to business development while upholding the firm's high professional standards.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE.
• Strong experience in civil litigation.
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters.
• Handling disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, building disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, and general litigation.
• Taking client instructions and advising on funding options.
• Dealing with client queries by phone and in person.
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and third parties.
• Drafting and preparing proceedings, pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements, and other court documents.
• Preparing and advising on applications and related documentation.
• Contributing to business development and maintaining the firm’s high professional standards.
